The Destination

Hunting in Russia can be traced back as far as the end of the 15th Century. This rich history of hunting continues today! The largest country in the world, Russia hosts 11 different time zones. From north to south the Russian Plain is clad in Arctic tundra, coniferous forest and mixed and broad-leaf forests, grassland and semi-desert as the changes in vegetation reflect the changes in climate. Siberia is similar but is largely forest. Russia hosts the largest freshwater lake in the world – The Baikal and Europe’s tallest peak, Mount Elbrus. While necessary to obtain a visa prior to arriving, this process has become relatively easy, post cold war. Flights in and out of Russia are frequent and with numerous international airports, arriving and departing is seemingly easy. Depending on the location, Moscow, Khabarovsk, Petropavlovsk are popular airports .
