Eastern Tajikistan (Murghab Region) In these high deserts, Mid‑Asian ibex are pursued alongside Marco Polo sheep. Hunts usually start in September and continue through December; weather becomes extremely cold after November.
Winter Range From January through February, rams descend to lower elevations. Hunters can access them more easily but must contend with harsh weather and deep snow, often using snowmobiles or tracked vehicles.
